MINSK, 6 June (BelTA) – The Belarusian-Venezuelan ministerial consultations took place in Caracas, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Belarusian delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Evgeny Shestakov, the Venezuelan delegation – by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Cooperation with Europe Yvan Gil.
The diplomats discussed the development of bilateral relations in the political, trade, economic and other areas. The parties considered the state and prospects of cooperation in international organizations, including in the UN format. The parties exchanged views on the most important issues on the international agenda.
“The diplomats hailed a high level and positive dynamics in the development of relations between Belarus and Venezuela. The parties noted a significant potential for building mutually beneficial economic cooperation, and reached agreements on further intensification of bilateral cooperation, including in the context of the preparations for the next meeting of the joint Belarusian-Venezuelan commission in Caracas,” the ministry said.
A protocol of consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs was signed at the end of the meeting.
