MINSK, 8 May (BelTA) – OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Serbia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic hailed a successful launch of the subgroups on Ukraine in Minsk on 6 May, according to the OSCE press release, BelTA informs.
The OSCE chairman stated that the activity of the subgroups is of key importance for strengthening the political process that makes up the basis for the resolution of the crisis. “He hailed the fact that the participants (of the meeting on 6 May - BelTA) agreed on further steps and stressed the need to continue the constructive approach on the next meetings,” the press release runs.
Ivica Dacic also expressed full support of the efforts made by OSCE special representative Heidi Tagliavini in the trilateral contact group as well as the activity of other OSCE coordinators.
According to Ivica Dacic, the Minsk meeting on 6 May was held in the pursuance of Article 13 of the package of measures on the implementation of the Minsk agreements adopted in the Belarusian capital in February 2015.
