MINSK, 21 October (BelTA) – Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Alexander Guryanov met with the Cuban government delegation led by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment of Cuba Antonio Luis Carricarte Corona, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

“The main purposes of the visit of the Cuban delegation are to discuss the diversification of mutual trade and to present opportunities for the expansion of trade and economic cooperation with Cuba,” according to the Foreign Ministry.

Participants of the meeting discussed cooperation in the manufacturing sector, agriculture, medicine, science and technology, outlined major avenues of interaction in the entire spectrum of bilateral relations. The program of the visit of the Cuban delegation also includes meetings and negotiations in the Industry Ministry, Healthcare Ministry, the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus, Belresursy Company. Members of the delegation will also visit MTZ and the agricultural company Dzerzhinsky.
