CSTO chief congratulates Lukashenko on victory in presidential election

MOSCOW, 27 January (BelTA) - Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Imangali Tasmagambetov has congratulated Aleksandr Lukashenko on his landslide victory in the presidential election in Belarus, BelTA learned from the CSTO press service.

“The participation of the overwhelming majority of voters in the election and your landslide victory demonstrate the high level of confidence of the Belarusian people in you, the support of the society for the consistent course of sustainable and rapid development of the country and ensuring its security,” the message of congratulations reads.

Imangali Tasmagambetov expressed confidence that under the leadership of Aleksandr Lukashenko Belarus will continue to make a significant contribution to the integration processes, strengthen stability in the Eurasian space, deepen allied relations within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

“I sincerely wish you, dear Aleksandr Grigorievich, good health, prosperity, new successes and achievements for the benefit of the Belarusian people,” he added.
