Cooperation between Vitebsk Oblast, Jiangxi Province discussed in China

MINSK, 30 May (BelTA) - Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Shanghai Andrei Andreyev held talks with the vice chairman of the Jiangxi Sub Council of the China Council for the promotion of International Trade, BelTA learned from the Belarusian foreign mission.

The parties discussed the prospects for building up bilateral cooperation in various areas, including through partnership between Vitebsk Oblast and the Chinese province of Jiangxi. An agreement was reached to intensify work on the implementation of joint projects in such areas as trade, economic, investment, logistics and healthcare.

As a priority step the parties decided to work out a possibility of increasing timber shipments from Belarus to Jiangxi, the Consulate General informed.
