Cooperation between Belarus, Holy See discussed in Minsk

MINSK, 21 December (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Ante Jozic and Metropolitan of Minsk and Mogilev Archdiocese Archbishop Jozef Staniewski on 21 December, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties discussed the current position of the Roman Catholic Church in Belarus, cooperation between the Holy See and the official Minsk, and also other issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda. The parties confirmed readiness to strengthen the interfaith dialogue and intensify cooperation in various sectors in order to promote further positive interaction.

Vladimir Makei wished Jozef Staniewski long and fruitful work in his new position.
