Commander of Ukraine’s Armed Forces calls chief of Belarusian army’s General Staff

MINSK, 22 February (BelTA) – Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, Major-General Viktor Gulevich received a phone call from Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General Valery Zaluzhny on 22 February, the Defense Ministry press service told BelTA.

The phone call was organized upon Ukraine’s initiative.

The sides discussed the current military and political situation in the region during the phone call, the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry said.
