As BelTA previously reported, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko took part in the meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council in Dushanbe on 10 October. In his remarks at the narrow-format meeting, the head of state outlined the strategic directions for the activities of the CIS. Among them he highlighted ensuring security and preserving peace, building up the economic resilience of the CIS countries, the organization’s authority on the international stage, and preserving traditions of intercultural dialogue and humanitarian cooperation.

At the conclusion of the summit, the heads of state signed a package of documents.
