MINSK, 23 January (BelTA) – Belarus Deputy Minister of Interior Affairs Alexander Barsukov met with a delegation of the Chinese Ministry of Public Security headed by deputy director of the Beijing Public Security Bureau Pan Xuhong on 22 January, BelTA learned from the website of the Ministry of Interior Affairs.

The law enforcement agencies of the two countries discussed security issues of the Chinese-Belarusian industrial park Great Stone and examined the draft protocol on cooperation between the Chinese Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Belarus. “Chinese citizens are the most law-abiding foreign nationals on the territory of Belarus. There are no closed topics in the bilateral cooperation. We hope for fruitful cooperation,” Alexander Barsukov said.

He assured that the Belarusian ministry pays special attention to security of the industrial park. The Smolevichi division of the protection department has employed mobile patrol since October 2018 to provide protection and maintain order in the industrial park. Representatives of the department on citizenship and migration of the Smolevichi police department visit the park twice a week to carry out necessary administrative procedures: registration of foreign nationals, issuance of work permits, temporary residence permits and many more.

The head of the Chinese delegation welcomed the high level of interaction with the Belarusian colleagues and expressed gratitude for ensuring security in the industrial park.
