China plans to build another 20 social houses in Belarus

MINSK, 3 February (BelTA) - China is going to build 20 more social houses in Belarus. The governments of Belarus and China will sign the corresponding agreement to implement the project “Construction of social housing (third stage)”. The decision is envisaged in Decree No.63 of the Council of Ministers of 1 February 2021, officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal, BelTA has learned.

A total of 1,166 social housing apartments in 20 houses are planned for construction. The total area will make up some 66,000 square meters. The apartments will be provided to citizens registered as being in need of better housing and eligible for social housing.

The construction costs should not exceed 222 million Chinese yuan, the costs of the Chinese company managing the project will not exceed 15.52 million Chinese yuan. They will be financed as China's technical and economic assistance.

The Economy Ministry has been authorized to sign the agreement on Belarus' behalf.
