URUMQI, 29 April (BelTA) - Li Jingyuan, Secretary General of the Secretariat of China-Eurasia Expo and Director General of the Xinjiang International Expo Administration, plans to visit Belarus in May, BelTA has learned.
While in Belarus, Li Jingyuan is expected to discuss the Xinjiang-Belarus trade and economic cooperation. The talks will also cover Belarus’ participation in the 5th international China-Eurasia Expo in Urumqi in September 2016.
The representative of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has already visited Belarus and was really impressed to see the country producing high-quality products, including milk, cheese, flax goods, having a well-developed agro-industrial sector, beautiful and clean cities. Li Jingyuan remembers well his visit to the Museum of the Great Patriotic War which displays the heroism and courage of the Belarusian people. He also liked the Belovezhskaya Pushcha, the Belarusian nature in general and the country’s landmarks.
The China-Eurasia Expo has been gaining popularity both on the regional and world levels. The expo has become an important platform for a high-level dialogue between China and the Eurasian countries.
