CEC: Venezuela is ready to take part in observation of presidential election in Belarus in 2025

MINSK, 20 August (BelTA) - Venezuela is ready to take part in the observation of the presidential election in Belarus in 2025, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Belarus Franklin Araque said at a meeting with a group of Belarusian observers who carried out international observation of the presidential election in Venezuela, BelTA learned the CEC.

Taking into account the attempts of external interference in the internal affairs of Venezuela during and after the presidential election in Venezuela, at the initiative of the Venezuelan side, the Venezuelan ambassador to Belarus met with the leadership of the CEC and a group of Belarusian observers who monitored the presidential election in Venezuela.

The ambassador informed the Belarusian side about the results of the election and the current state of affairs in the country. In particular, he spoke about specific facts of interference in the internal affairs of Venezuela by other states, cyberattacks on the electoral system, attempts to intimidate and destabilize the situation before the announcement of the official election results.

In turn, the Belarusian observers confirmed their earlier statement that the presidential election in Venezuela was held in full compliance with the national legislation of Venezuela.
