BEIJING, 5 May (BelTA) – The Chinese Academy of Social Science (CASS) and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) will sign a cooperation agreement, Director of the Institute of Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Zhu Xiaozhong told BelTA.
She said that Chinese scientists are eager to share the best practices with Belarusian researchers who have many projects in various fields. The professor stressed that Chinese scientists are interested in Belarus’ opinion about the expansion of cooperation with China in investments and economy. The scientists will have to do a lot as part of the new Great Silk Way project.
“Within the framework of the Silk Way Economic Belt all sides will enhance cooperation and look for new areas of common interest. As practice shows, bilateral and multilateral cooperation help promote stability in the regions,” Zhu Xiaozhong said.
“The Silk Way Economic Belt is a strategy of long-term development which does not exclude the possibility of cooperation with international and local organizations,” the director of the CASS Institute of Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia noted.
