MINSK, 14 December (BelTA) – Issues arising in the Belarusian-Russian cooperation at the high level are routine, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said at the meeting with representatives of the Russian media on 14 December, BelTA has learned.
“As for hot topics, sometimes sparks fly at the highest level. But please do not try to fan them into flames. These are routine issues. There has been no situation in the bilateral relations when we have not found a happy medium,” the head of state said.
The president stressed that Russia remains a strategic partner and ally of Belarus. “Our brothers live there. Whoever they are: Russians, Chechens, Ingush, Jews ... They are our brothers because we lived in one state yesterday,” he added.
