Call for advancing Belarus-Thailand industrial cooperation

MINSK, 16 March (BelTA) – It is necessary to advance Belarus-Thailand industrial cooperation. Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko made the statement as he met with Thailand Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha during the official visit of the Belarusian parliament delegation to Thailand, the press service of the lower chamber of the Belarus parliament told BelTA.

During the meeting the sides exchanged views on topical matters of the bilateral relations. Concrete proposals to step up Belarus-Thailand cooperation were voiced.

In particular, Vladimir Andreichenko pointed out it is necessary to form the legal base, advance manufacturing cooperation, R&D cooperation, and cooperation in the area of education.

In turn, Prayut Chan-o-cha underlined that relations should be developed across the board and outlined concrete ways to do so. According to the Prime Minister, the visit of the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Belarus parliament to Thailand was the first step in cooperation development and concrete results should follow it.

Both sides spoke in positive terms about the signing of interparliamentary and interregional agreements during Vladimir Andreichenko’s visit.

The head of the Belarus parliament’s lower chamber also met with Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries Supant Mongkolsuthree. Matters concerning the advancement of industrial cooperation between Belarus and Thailand were discussed during the meeting.
