Brussels hosts Belarus-EU coordination group meeting

Photo by the Embassy of Belarus in BelgiumMINSK, 19 December (BelTA) – The fourth meeting of Belarus-EU coordination group is taking place in Brussels on 19-20 December, BelTA learned from the Twitter account of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Belarusian delegation is led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Kravchenko, the delegation of the European Union – by Thomas Mayr-Harting, Managing Director for Europe and Central Asia in the European External Action Service.

Oleg Kravchenko stated earlier that the diplomats were expected to discuss a wide range of issues related to bilateral cooperation, including the draft document on partnership priorities. “The coordination group is an important part of the infrastructure in the relations between Belarus and the EU. The group talks over all the issues, including transport, environment, customs cooperation and human rights,” he explained.
