BIE Secretary General expected to visit Belarus in spring 2017
MINSK, 23 February (BelTA) – Belarus’ First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Yevdochenko met with Secretary General of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) Vicente Loscertales on the sidelines of the 3rd meeting of EXPO 2017 participants, BelTA has learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The parties discussed the state and prospects of cooperation of Belarus with the BIE, the organization of a visit of the BIE Secretary General to Belarus in spring 2017 and a seminar on the efficiency of exhibition activities, including EXPO events,” the press service informed.
As BelTA reported, the preparation for this large-scale world forum is already at the final stage. The main theme of EXPO 2017 i the energy of the future. Belarus was one of the first to have confirmed its participation in EXPO 2017. The country has been given one of the central pavilions.
EXPO 2017 will open on 10 June. The participating countries will present their achievements.
