MINSK, 10 July (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 273 “On encouraging the use of electric cars”, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The document offers incentives to encourage adoption of electric vehicles and to develop the necessary infrastructure.

In line with the document, electric cars will be exempted from vehicle registration fees and the value-added tax on the import of charging stations that are not produced in Belarus.

The Belorusneft company has been authorized to develop and expand the charging network.
