Belarusian-Turkmen agreements to promote two countries' development

MINSK, 11 May (BelTA) – The agreements reached at the Belarusian-Turkmen highest-level meeting as well as the documents signed during the meeting will contribute to the development of Belarus and Turkmenistan and will help promote a favorable environment for bilateral cooperation, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko told the media following the talks with Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on 11 May, BelTA has learned.

The head of state noted that Turkmenistan is a strategic partner for Belarus. “This is a fraternal country. We appreciate the friendship and are set to further the productive interaction on all fronts. There are no closed topics in our relations,” the Belarusian leader said.

The President called the opening of a new embassy compound of Turkmenistan in Minsk the landmark event in the bilateral relations, which underlines the high level of cooperation.
