MINSK, 28 December (BelTA) - Belarusian scientists are expected to suggest more projects, Belarus Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov said as he presented state awards to distinguished Belarusians on 28 December, BelTA has learned.
2017 has been declared the Year of Science in Belarus. Special attention will be drawn to raising the role of science in the social and economic development, creation of conditions for the development of the scientific potential, formation of the international image of Belarus as the country with a high level of the intellectual and human capital.
“We hope for more initiatives from scientists next year,” Andrei Kobyakov emphasized.
He remarked that young scientists will be supported in the Year of Science. “The 2017 budget envisages the increase in the financing of the industry,” the Prime Minister reminded.
