Belarusian PM presents state awards for professional excellence

Belarusian PM presents state awards for professional excellence

MINSK, 10 December (BelTA) – On the instruction of the Belarusian president, Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin presented state awards to representatives of various professional fields, BelTA has learned.

“Today we are honoring people who, through their talent and dedicated work, make a significant contribution to the development of our dear Belarus. Each of you is an example of high professionalism, a model of loyalty and commitment to your work. The state has duly recognized your contributions,” Aleksandr Turchin stated.

Among the award recipients are representatives from the tax authorities, the agricultural industry, forestry, housing and utility services, statistics, education, culture, and other fields.

“Your achievements serve as a foundation for the further prosperity of our state, making our country stronger and shoring up its sovereignty. Through your honest labor, you inspire the youth and demonstrate that diligence and integrity enable the attainment of high accomplishments, thereby strengthening the unity of the Belarusian people,” the prime minister emphasized.

On behalf of the government and personally, Aleksandr Turchin congratulated the participants of the ceremony on this big occasion.

“Today's award is not merely a recognition of your merits. It is a confirmation that the country sees, values, and relies on people like you. Your work is a contribution to the foundation of our common future and am example for the younger generation. May this award serve as a source of strength and an incentive for new achievements for the benefit of the country and the Belarusian people. I wish you robust health, inexhaustible energy, prosperity, and success in your noble work," the prime minister noted.

In recognition of long-term fruitful work and high professionalism, Francysk Skaryna Medal was presented to Yevgeny Vanshin, Chief Editor of the Presidential Affairs Coverage Department at the Belarusian news agency BelTA.

A president's letter of commendation for long-term fruitful work, high professionalism, and services to the country's gas infrastructure development has been awarded to Vasily Bobrikov, lead engineer of the automated control systems department at the ITGas Production Unit of Vitebskoblgaz. After graduating from university, Vasily Bobrikov worked as a graphic designer at the enterprise, gradually enhancing his qualifications: he pursued self-study, mastered new fields, and transitioned to the IT sector in 2017.

“Our work is a team effort. We implement various projects for the region and the country, helping to strengthen the image of Vitebskoblgaz and advance the enterprise's digital transformation. The president's commendation is, for me, a stepping stone, a motivation to reach even greater heights," Vasily Bobrikov remarked.

Among the awardees were representatives of the forestry sector. Ivan Yenin has worked as a log truck driver for the Liozno forestry of the Vitebsk forestry enterprise for 27 years. “I am overwhelmed with emotion,” he said. “This award is not just my merit, but that of our entire close-knit team and leadership. I am already retired, but I am ready to work until I am 90 for my dear Belarus. For me, working and breathing are synonyms. I can't even imagine what I would do without work. I have 48 years of driving experience. All this time, I have been engaged in my beloved work and consider myself a happy person.”

The joy of today's event was shared by Ivan Yenin’s loved ones: his wife, two daughters, four granddaughters, son-in-law, and eight-year-old grandson. “There were people to share my joy. I plan to give the medal to my grandson later as a keepsake,”he noted.

A well-deserved award was also presented to Yelena Tsivinskaya, a milking machine operator at the Peskovtsy agricultural enterprise, in Lida District. She has worked at the farm for 45 years and is a mother of four sons. “Even though I've been retired for many years, I don't want to leave,” she said. "The secret to success is hard work. I strive to perform my duties well. My children are proud of me. So are my grandchildren. In Lida District, our farm achieves commendable results. We rank second, producing extra-grade milk. The management supports us, and we do our best; we lack for nothing."
