MINSK, 7 December (BelTA) - Belarusian MPs passed the second reading of the amendments to the anti-terrorism law, BelTA has learned.

The bill improves the mechanisms for the prevention and suppression of terrorist activities, said Piotr Atorshchenko, a member of the standing commission on national security of the House of Representatives.

The bill clarifies the definition “financing of terrorist activity”. It also proposes to include the Armed Forces of Belarus into the list of entities directly engaged in the fight against terrorism and to define their functions in this regard.
