MINSK, 4 July (BelTA) – On the sidelines of the 33rd Annual Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Belarusian parliamentarians Sergei Rachkov and Oleg Rummo held a meeting with Roger Wicker, head of the U.S. delegation to the OSCE PA, the press service of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus told BelTA.
Roger Wicker warmly recalled the 2017 OSCE PA session held in Belarus, saying he had been impressed by the capital city of Minsk.
The Belarusian representatives congratulated the U.S. delegation on Independence Day. The parliamentarians noted the symbolism of the dates on which the national holidays of Belarus and the United States are celebrated. They agreed that Belarusian-American relations have a bright future, given that there is a solid foundation for cooperation. It is important to focus on issues that unite both countries.
Brief meetings were also held with the heads of the parliamentary delegations of Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Serbia and Tajikistan. Among the topics discussed were the thematic resolutions submitted for consideration to the OSCE PA.
