Belarusian FM receives copy of credentials from Swiss ambassador

MINSK, 9 February (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with the new Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Belarus Christine Honegger Zolotukhin to receive the copy of her credentials in Minsk on 9 February, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"The Belarusian minister noted the symbolism of the meeting ahead of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Switzerland and wished Christine Honegger Zolotukhin successful work for the benefit of bilateral relations," the ministry said in a statement.

The parties also discussed the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation between Belarus and Switzerland in political, trade, economic, investment, humanitarian and other fields.
