MINSK, 9 September (BelTA) - Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov received the copy of the credentials of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran to Belarus Mohsen Omid-Zamani, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Maxim Ryzhenkov congratulated Mohsen Omid-Zamani on the start of his mission and wished him success in his work.
The parties exchanged views on a wide range of current issues of Belarusian-Iranian political and humanitarian ties.
The parties noted the positive momentum in the development of bilateral relations and the high level of mutual trust.
The minister and the ambassador also reaffirmed the importance of maintaining intensive contacts at the highest and high levels and their interest in further deepening the dialogue.
The meeting addressed the schedule of joint activities for the short and medium term. These activities are designed to further stimulate interstate cooperation and facilitate the steady advancement and substantive development of priority areas in Belarus‑Iran relations.
