MINSK, 5 October (BelTA) - Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik met with a Nicaraguan government delegation led by Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Nicaragua Laureano Ortega Murillo, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Belarusian-Nicaraguan relations, reaffirmed the countries' commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation, and also summed up the results of the third meeting of the Belarusian-Nicaraguan joint commission on trade and economic cooperation held in Minsk on 3-4 October.
The parties noted that the implementation of the agreements reached during the visit will contribute to trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Nicaragua in various avenues, in particular, industrial cooperation, agriculture and food, construction and investment, and will promote ties between business communities and the capital cities of the two countries.
