Belarusian diplomat, Istanbul vice governor discuss firefighting equipment supplies

MINSK, 10 January (BelTA) - Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Istanbul Yevgenia Bortkevich held a meeting with Deputy Governor of Istanbul Mehmet Sülün, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Istanbul.

The parties discussed new opportunities for the development of Belarusian-Turkish cooperation, including prospects for the supply of Belarusian fire-fighting equipment to the Istanbul region.

Special consideration was given to interaction in the humanitarian and cultural avenues, including the opportunities for exchange tours of opera and ballet theatres.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue systemic work to ensure that the initiatives under discussion move into a practical dimension and are implemented in the form of mutually beneficial projects.

Trade relations between Belarus and Türkiye are complementary. The countries run the joint intergovernmental economic commission.
