Belarusian, British defense ministries sign cooperation plan for 2019

MINSK, 23 November (BelTA) – A delegation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is in Belarus on an official visit, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Defense Ministry website.

The delegation is led by International Security Policy Director Nick Gurr. The British delegation met with Aide to the Defense Minister, Chief of the International Military Cooperation Department, Major-General Oleg Voinov. The sides discussed bilateral cooperation in defense and exchanged opinions about topical matters of international security.

A plan to guide cooperation between the Belarusian Defense Ministry and the UK Ministry of Defense in 2019 was signed as a result of the meeting.

The UK Ministry of Defense delegation is in Belarus on 22-24 November.
