Belarusian ambassador to Cuba presents copy of credentials

MINSK, 19 August (BelTA) - On 18 August, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Cuba Valery Baranovsky met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Anayansi Rodríguez Camejo of Cuba to present the copy of his credentials, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Havana.

"The parties discussed the state and prospects for the development of Belarusian-Cuban relations and noted the mutual interest in expanding political, trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation between Belarus and Cuba," the Belarusian diplomatic mission said.

The parties also considered ways to intensify work in key areas of cooperation.

Possibilities of organizing visits and joint events amid the pandemic were also on the agenda of the meeting, the embassy added.
