Belarus voices grave concern over escalating Israeli-Palestinian violence

MINSK, 29 October (BelTA) – Belarus expresses grave concern over the escalating Israeli-Palestinian violence, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA commenting on the recent developments in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

“We share the assessment of the situation and approaches contained in the statement by the Middle East Quartet of international mediators released on 23 October 2015. The violence between the Israelis and the Palestinians that has been escalating for more than a month cannot but arouse deep concern. Any terrorist attacks, acts of violence must be strongly condemned,” the press service emphasized.

“We believe that the two parties to the conflict must complement the measures to prevent provocations agreed with the participation of the Quartet with the steps to resolve the current impasse in the negotiations to reach a settlement based on the existing international legal framework, including the relevant United Nations resolutions and the agreements reached previously,” the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
