Belarus-Vietnam interregional cooperation prospects discussed

MINSK, 9 August (BelTA) - Consul General of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City Ruslan Varankov met with Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Phan Van May on 9 August, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

The parties discussed the general agenda for Belarusian-Vietnamese cooperation. Special attention was paid to the development of the entire spectrum of cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and the regions of Belarus, primarily in trade and investment.

Ruslan Varankov also emphasized Belarus’ interest in developing constructive and dynamic relations with Ho Chi Minh City in education, culture and tourism, and also improving the legal framework of the bilateral relations.

The exchange of visits at various levels was noted as an important tool to add momentum to the bilateral relations. Ruslan Varankov passed on to Chairman Phan Van May an invitation from Minsk Mayor Vladimir Kukharev to visit Minsk and take part in the events dedicated to the 955th anniversary of the foundation of the Belarusian capital.
