MINSK, 17 August (BelTA) – Representatives of law enforcement agencies of Belarus have come to Vietnam to discuss international cooperation in combating organized crime, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The Belarusian delegation, led by Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Kubrakov, is on an official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The Belarusian delegation held talks with the heads of Vietnam’s internal affairs and public security agencies. “The parties shared best practices and discussed cooperation prospects in ensuring public security, combating organized crime, cyber threats, and other pressing challenges of our time. One of the highlights of the visit was the meeting with INTERPOL President Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi to discuss key issues of international cooperation in fighting transnational crime, strengthening collaboration between law enforcement agencies, and the potential for joint initiatives in countering organized crime,” the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized.

Belarusian law enforcement officers took part in a commemorative ceremony celebrating the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s Traditional Day of the People’s Public Security and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection.

The event paid tribute to the courage and dedication of generations of officers who devoted themselves to maintaining public order and ensuring citizen safety.
