MINSK, 26 November (BelTA) – Belarus and Vietnam count on a breakthrough in relations and expect to advance partnership to a brand-new level, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko told reporters after the meeting with Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong on 26 November, BelTA has learned.
“I believe that the implementation of a number of events which will help make a breakthrough in relations between Belarus and Vietnam will be the main result of this visit. Our relations will advance to the highest level of partnership and strategic cooperation,” the Belarusian head of state stressed.
He thanked the leadership of Vietnam for the invitation to visit this country. “I think that it will be possible to organize the visit in the near future. Before the visit we must prepare a number of large-scale projects which will be the foundation of our trade and economic cooperation,” Alexander Lukashenko remarked.
