Belarus, Venezuela to strengthen efforts of joint companies

MINSK, 15 March (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Venezuela Andrei Molchan held a meeting with Vice President of the Venezuelan Council of Ministers of Planning Ricardo Menendez and Minister of Industries and National Production of Venezuela Jose Biomorgi, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Caracas.

“The parties discussed the implementation of the agreements reached as part of the 8th meeting of the joint Belarusian-Venezuelan high-level commission held in December 2021,” the diplomatic mission said.

Special attention of the meeting was focused on the revitalization of the Belarusian-Venezuelan productions. The parties also discussed the priority measures to increase trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

The diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on 4 February 1997. In December 2006 Venezuela opened its embassy in Belarus. The Belarusian embassy in Venezuela was opened in October 2007.
