Belarus, Uzbekistan to expand interaction in security

MINSK, 13 April (BelTA) – State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Volfovich met with Secretary of the Security Council under the President of Uzbekistan Viktor Makhmudov on 13 April, representatives of the State Secretariat of the Security Council of Belarus told BelTA.

The sides exchanged opinions about topical problems relating to international and regional security. They discussed matters of bilateral interaction and mentioned positive dynamics across the board. Interest was expressed in advancing mutually beneficial cooperation in a broad spectrum of interstate relations.

A roadmap, a cooperation plan, and a protocol to stipulate the security-related agreements Belarus and Uzbekistan had come up with were signed by the offices of the security councils of the two countries as a result of the meeting.
