Belarus, Uzbekistan hold consultations on security

MINSK, 12 April (BelTA) – Representatives of the security councils of Belarus and Uzbekistan held consultations on 12 April, BelTA learned from the State Secretariat of the Security Council of Belarus.

Belarus-Uzbekistan consultations were chaired by Deputy State Secretary of Belarus’ Security Council Vladimir Archakov and Deputy Secretary of Uzbekistan’s Security Council Bobur Usmanov. The parties took stock of Belarus-Uzbekistan cooperation in various areas, reviewed the state of international and information security and discussed promising avenues of bilateral cooperation in responding to current threats to the countries’ national security,” the State Secretariat said.

The parties expressed concern about emerging challenges and threats to international security. They also confirmed their commitment to the principle of universal, equal, and undivided security based on mutual trust and respect for each other’s interests.
