Belarus, USA exchange views on military, political situation around Belarus

MINSK, 10 September (BelTA) – At the initiative of the American side, Chief of the International Military Cooperation Department, Aide to the Defense Minister for International Military Cooperation Major General Oleg Voinov met with U.S. Charge d’Affaires in Belarus Jeffrey Giauque on 10 September, BelTA learned from the Defense Ministry.

“The parties exchanged views on the military and political situation around Belarus. The Belarusian side provided up-to-date information about the political situation inside the country and expressed concern over growing tensions in the region and another wave of the arms race,” the ministry informed.

It was emphasized that external interference into Belarus’ domestic affairs is unacceptable.
