Belarus, Uruguay discuss political dialogue, economic cooperation

 MOSCOW, 10 December (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uruguay to Russia María del Rosario Portell Casanova, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian embassy in Russia.

The heads of the diplomatic missions discussed the development of political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation, interaction within international organizations, as well as the formation of a legal framework.

“The Uruguayan diplomat emphasized the importance of developing cooperation with Belarus and also noted that the parties need to make greater use of the existing potential for collaboration. María del Rosario Portell Casanova named information technology as one of the areas of interest for cooperation with our country, an area where Uruguay also has development experience,” the press service said.

“Aleksandr Rogozhnik, in turn, stressed the importance of intensifying contacts between the business communities of Belarus and Uruguay in order to boost mutual trade between the countries,” the diplomatic mission added.
