ABU DHABI, 28 October (BelTA) – Belarus and the United Arab Emirates are in intensive consultations with a view to facilitating visa regulations, BelTA learned from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the United Arab Emirates Roman Golovchenko.
The diplomat remarked that the facilitation of visa regulations between the two countries was discussed at the session of the joint committee on cooperation between the governments of Belarus and the UAE in Abu Dhabi on 22 October.
“The matter is not a simple one, but I would like to assure that the consular services of the ministries of foreign affairs of the two countries are hard at work,” said Roman Golovchenko. He reminded that holders of diplomatic passports do not need visas already.
“Now active consultations are in progress between the ministries of foreign affairs to determine the ways that can be used to lift visa requirements for holders of civil passports,” said the Ambassador. “I cannot mention any specific dates, but intensive consultations to that effect are in progress”.
