Belarus to raise minimum subsistence budget on 1 August

MINSK, 27 July (BelTA) – Belarus will raise the minimum subsistence budget on 1 August 2026, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Labor and Social Security Ministry.

From 1 August to 31 October 2026, new minimum subsistence budget rates will be applied in Belarus for the average per capita and for major socio-demographic groups. The new minimum subsistence budget on average per capita will be set at Br530.37, which will be 4.1% higher than the minimum subsistence budget that was in effect from 1 May 2026.

The minimum subsistence budget in Belarus will be set at Br574.38 for working-age population, Br380.86 for pensioners, Br326.56 for children under 3 years, Br437.78 for children aged 3 to 6, and Br519.24 for children aged 6 to 18.

Proportionally to the increase in the minimum subsistence budget, certain social payments calculated on its basis will automatically rise by 4.1%: the amounts of state benefits for families raising children, pension supplements, allowances for caring for a person with a Group I disability or for someone aged 80 and over, as well as social pensions.

This will be the third increase in the minimum subsistence budget in 2026.
