Belarus to participate in AIPA General Assembly in Laos

MINSK, 10 September (BelTA) – A Belarusian delegation will take part in the 45th General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) in Laos, BelTA learned from Chairman of the International Affairs Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Sergei Rachkov before a meeting of the Council of the House of Representatives.
"We will soon attend some important events, including a meeting of the AIPA in Laos. This is a very serious and large forum. Our delegation will be headed by the Chairman of the House of Representatives Igor Sergeyenko," Sergei Rachkov said.
"We also plan to participate in the election observation in Uzbekistan. We have received an invitation from the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly to join the delegation to observe elections in the USA, Moldova, Georgia," Sergei Rachkov pointed out. "Now we will use these channels to develop interparliamentary cooperation and solve the tasks set by the Belarusian president to members of the House of Representatives."
The second session of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus of the eighth convocation will open on 17 September.
