MINSK, 13 May (BelTA) – Belarus plans to open its embassy in the Australian capital Canberra this year, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he received the credentials of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to Belarus Paul Andrew Myler on 13 May, BelTA has learned.
Alexander Lukashenko stressed there were every condition for fruitful development of cooperation with Australia.
“This year we plan to open our diplomatic representative office in Canberra. We hope this step will help us to use more fully the potential of the economic, scientific, educational and cultural cooperation,” the President said.
