Belarus to host MPs from Armenia, India, Moldova in 2018

MINSK, 29 March (BelTA) – Parliamentary delegations from Armenia, India, and Moldova plan to visit Belarus in 2018, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Boleslav Pirshtuk noted at a meeting of the council of the lower house on 29 March, BelTA informs.

According to Boleslav Pirshtuk, MPs from Armenia, India, Moldova, and other countries are expected to visit the country in Q2 2018. “A Belarusian delegation will soon take part in the 47th plenary session of the CIS Parliamentary Assembly and a meeting of the council of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in St Petersburg,” he added.

In June 2018, Belarus will host another session of the Belarus-Russia Union State Parliamentary Assembly. It should be organized at a high level, Boleslav Pirshtuk underlined.

The House of Representatives has visited many events between the sessions, Boleslav Pirshtuk said. For instance, Belarusian MPs led by Speaker Vladimir Andreichenko have made a visit to Switzerland. The trip has been a success: the two groups of friendship have signed a memorandum. The MPs have held talks on bilateral cooperation in trade, economy, investments, and humanitarian field. The visit has seen other events aimed at improving Belarus’ image in the international arena and promoting contacts between Belarusian MPs and foreign colleagues.
