Belarus to host delegations from Vietnam, Laos

MINSK, 13 July (BelTA) – Belarus will host delegation of Vietnam and Laos, spokesperson for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Mironchik told a press briefing on 13 July, BelTA has learned.

The Vietnamese delegation led by Nguyen Tuan Phong, deputy head of the Commission for External Relations of the Central Committee of the communist Party of Vietnam, will visit Belarus on 14-15 July. The delegation is scheduled to hold meetings in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and with the National Assembly's working group on cooperation with the Parliament of Vietnam. The Vietnamese guests are also scheduled to meet with members of the the society of friendship Belarus-Vietnam and the faculty of the Institute of Journalism of the Belarusian State University.

On 13 July Minsk will host the third meeting of the joint commission for bilateral cooperation between the governments of Belarus and Laos. The meeting will consider the whole range of issues of the Belarusian-Lao interaction in trade and economy, industry and agriculture. Particular attention will be paid to cooperation in finance and banking, science, pharmaceutics and other fields of mutual interest.

The Lao delegation will be headed by Minister of Planning and Investment Suphan Keomisay. The parties are set to sign a protocol following the meeting.

The Lao delegation is also set to visit OAO Minsk Automobile Works (MAZ trademark) and other Belarusian enterprises.
