MINSK, 18 February (BelTA) – The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria will provide a $5 million grant to Belarus for treatment of TB and AIDS, BelTA learned from the press service of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Office in Belarus.
The agreement between the UNDP and the Belarusian National Center for Medical Technologies, Informatization, Administration and Management of Health, which is the main recipient of the Global Fund grant, will be signed in Minsk on 19 February.
The Global Fund will provide more than $5 million for purchasing drugs and medical equipment and building the procurement capacity of the national center.
The signing ceremony will be attended by UNDP Resident Representative in Belarus Sanaka Samarasinha, Head of the National Center for Medical Technologies, Informatization, Administration and Management of Health Marina Sachek, and representatives of partner organizations.
