Belarus, Thailand abolish visas for holders of official, diplomatic passports

MINSK, 13 March (BelTA) – The Republic of Belarus and the Kingdom of Thailand have signed an agreement to abolish visas for holders of diplomatic and official passports, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

The signing ceremony was held during the meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Vietnam and concurrently to Thailand Valery Sadokho and Thai Deputy Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai on 12 March. The sides discussed a wide range of issues of the bilateral relations, including ways to bolster the trade and economic ties, to improve the legal framework of cooperation, and enhance cooperation in international organizations.

During his visit to Bangkok, the Belarusian Ambassador met with Deputy Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce Piyabutr Cholvijarn, Thai politicians, and businessmen. Special attention was paid to the ways of increasing supplies of Belarusian products to Thailand and developing the industrial and investment cooperation between the two states.
