Belarus takes in over 8,000 Ukrainian citizens year-to-date

MINSK, 17 February (BelTA) – A total of 8,015 Ukrainian nationals have arrived in Belarus since the start of the year, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee of Belarus.

According to the committee, 5,927 people came to Belarus in transit via Poland, 1,555 via Lithuania and 533 via Latvia.

All in all, 82,719 citizens of Ukraine came to Belarus since 24 February 2022: 15,890  arrived directly from the territory of Ukraine, 52,432 in transit through Poland, 11,705 arrived via Lithuania and 2,692 came via Latvia.
