Belarus, Tajikistan eager to develop tourism

MINSK, 24 June (BelTA) - Director of Belarus’ National Tourism Agency Kirill Masharsky met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Belarus Bakhtovar Safarzoda, BelTA learned from the National Tourism Agency.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the tourism business from both countries. The parties noted the significant potential for developing tourist exchanges between Belarus and Tajikistan and explored the avenues for stepping up cooperation.

Kirill Masharsky suggested that Belarusian health resorts and holiday homes and also as ecological tourism, agro-ecotourism, event tourism, and historical-patriotic tourism, may be of interest to tourists from Tajikistan.

Tour operators of Belarus expressed interest in organizing health improvement trips for citizens of Tajikistan. Representatives of Tajikistan stressed that ecotourism in Tajikistan could become interesting for Belarusians.
