Belarus, Tajikistan discuss military cooperation prospects

MINSK, 14 February (BelTA) – A delegation of the Armed Forces of Tajikistan is in Belarus on a visit on 14-15 February, the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

The Tajikistan delegation is led by Deputy Defense Minister for Arms and Military Hardware, Major-General Mahmadzoda Suhrob Talbak.

While in Belarus the head of the Tajik delegation met with Chief of the General Staff, First Deputy Defense Minister of Belarus Oleg Belokonev. The sides discussed military and political situation in the Central Asia region as well as the state and prospects of further advancement of military cooperation and military technology cooperation within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and in the bilateral format.
