MINSK, 9 March (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Tajikistan Viktor Denisenko met with Agriculture Minister of Tajikistan, chairman of the Tajik part of the Belarus-Tajikistan intergovernmental commission on advancing cooperation Sadi Karimzoda, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.
Viktor Denisenko and Sadi Karimzoda discussed a broad range of matters concerning bilateral cooperation. The sides positively evaluated the dynamics of development of Belarus-Tajikistan relations. The readiness of the sides for realizing new joint projects to the mutual benefit was confirmed. Viktor Denisenko and Sadi Karimzoda agreed the schedule of events to be held in the near future.
Belarus-Tajikistan diplomatic relations were established on 5 September 1996. An embassy of Tajikistan was opened in Minsk in 1997. An embassy of Belarus has been operating in Dushanbe since March 2011.
